The Prairie Artists Guild was founded in March, 1988, by a small group of Regina artists interested in improving their skills by interacting and learning from each other. They envisioned a setting where artists could gather to paint together and support one another in their artistic endeavours. David Butt, internationally renowned artist and lifetime member, was the driving force behind the formation of the Prairie Artists Guild and its promotion of the visual arts.
