Lucia was born and raised in Germany and came to Canada in 1954. She was married in Saskatoon, but has called Regina her home since 1960 and has raised four children. Art has always been a part of her life. When time became available to Lucia, she received instruction from various teachers including Sister Veronica Hager, with whom she studied for many years. Lucia prefers to work in oils but also works with watercolour. Nature's beauty, from the changing seasons to the flowers that grow in her backyard, provide the inspiration for her paintings. As a member of the Prairie Artist Guild and the Art Gallery of Regina, Lucia is always learning from her fellow artists. Lucia's works have been purchased by collectors throughout the province and internationally.
