Gladys was born and raised in Regina and has, since she can remember, enjoyed pencil sketching and painting. In her earlier years she studied drawing with both Ken Lochead and Art McKay and since retirement has taken a number of 'how to' classes with Christine Lynn, Ann Dube, Elaine Seis, David Butt and Michael Lonechild, to name a few. Gladys continues to paint as a pleasurable hobby and meets weekly with a group of artists with similar interests. She is also a member of the Prairie Artists Guild and was pleased to have one of her watercolours chosen for the 2001 Sherwood Credit Union calendar.
