As a young child, Dianne wanted to do three things with her life.... to be a Nurse, a Mother, and an Artist. She feels fortunate to be all three. Dianne was born and raised in Regina. She became a Nurse, later married and moved to a ranch near Marsden Saskatchewan. After the birth of her first child in 1987, Dianne joined the Marsden-Neilburg Art Club and began to work with watercolour. She started by painting “Baby-Scapes“. Her subjects eventually became anything that would evoke a feeling, memory or tell a story. She has with an appreciation for people, light, big skies, and the beauty of the prairie landscape. Dianne attended Art Week at PCTC for 3 years, and has received instruction from Kevin Quinnlan, Rolfe Krohn, Elaine Muth, Eleanor Robertson, Tibor Adams and Joan Herbert. Dianne continues with water colour and ink drawing – working with both mediums together and separately to create her art. Dianne appreciates the creative energy, fellowship and the opportunity for artistic development from her membership with the Prairie Artists Guild.
