Annette was born and raised in the small village of Salvador, Saskatchewan. It was a wonderful place for a child to grow and she has many beautiful memories of her childhood. Drawing, painting and creating have always been Annette’s passion. After twenty- eight years of teaching in Saskatchewan and two years of teaching in France, she has realized what a joy art is for children and how much can be learned about children through their art. During her years of teaching, Annette was very busy with classes and did not produce many paintings. However, Annette knew teaching allowed for creativity and could become another art form. Since Annette retired she has again become involved with painting. She has taken classes in drawing at the University of Regina and many seminars in painting with varied mediums. To be part of a supportive community of artists belonging to the Prairie Artists Guild has been like a wonderful gift.
